Barry Lawson is currently serving as project coordinator for the development of web-based and print versions of an atlas for the Connecticut River Watershed in New Hampshire and Vermont. This project consists of over three dozen sections in eight chapters, covering topics as diverse as physical geography, ecosystems, river and water resources, history, transportation, current patterns of development and cultural resources. Each section is authored by an expert in that topic and the atlas will be vividly illustrated with maps, images and charts and accompanied for references for further study. The web version will feature links to a host of other sources. |

The project is a joint venture of the Connecticut River Joint Commissions, Dartmouth College and Northern Cartographic. It has been funded by a host of agencies, several foundations, and businesses in the watershed and by an annual appropriation from the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration. The web site and book versions are expected to be available in 2007 or 2008. |
